The issuance of a decision to form a supervisory committee to implement the maintenance agreement and comprehensive evaluation of the SAFER

 

the Chairman of the Supreme Political Council issued Decision No. (110) for the year 2020 AD to establish and form a supervisory committee to implement the urgent maintenance agreement and the comprehensive evaluation of the floating tank, SAFER.

The following is the text of the decision:

Article (1) a: A supervisory committee shall be formed to implement the agreement (urgent maintenance and comprehensive evaluation of the floating tanker SAFER) as follows:

 

  1. A representative of the Higher Economic Committee as Chairman

 

  1. A representative of the president’s office as a member

 

  1. A representative of the Ministry of Oil and Minerals as a member

 

  1. A representative of the Ministry of Transport, as a member

 

  1. A representative of the Ministry of Legal Affairs, as a member

 

  1. A representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as a member

 

  1. A representative of the Security and Intelligence Service, as a member

 

  1. A representative of the Coast Guard, as a member

 

  1. A representative of the Navy, as a member

 

  1. A representative of COMTEC as a consultant

 

  1. The bodies referred to in Paragraph (a) of this Article shall name their representative in the committee.

Article (2) The committee shall carry out the following tasks and specializations:

1- Obtaining a copy of all documents submitted by Safer to the United Nations team and vice versa.

2- Accompany the United Nations team while carrying out all work on board the floating SAFER tank.

3- Work on everything that would facilitate the arrival and mission of the UN expert group and the national team for the optimal implementation of the agreement.

4- Supervising compliance with the scope of work of the urgent maintenance agreement and comprehensive evaluation of the SAFER floating tank.

5- Follow up on the relevant authorities to implement the agreement and carry out the tasks assigned to them.

6- Directing and supervising the commitment of the relevant authorities to everything that would lead to the implementation of the agreement.

7- Attending all meetings of the United Nations team with the SAFER team and signing all meeting minutes.

8- Full supervision of the implementation of all evaluation and maintenance work.

9- Reviewing the United Nations’ reports related to the evaluation of the floating Safer reservoir, reviewing the maintenance plan, and giving an opinion on it to the relevant authorities.

10 – Submit periodic reports on the level of commitment of the relevant authorities to the agreement to the President of the Supreme Political Council and heads of the relevant authorities

11- Any other tasks assigned to it by the President of the Supreme Political Council.

Article (3) This decision shall be effective from the date of its issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
