The Minister of Transport inspects the level of job discipline in the meteorological sector

The Minister of Transport, Abdel Wahab Al-Durra, and with him, the deputy  of the Civil Aviation Authority and Meteorology, Raed Jabal, inspected the workflow and the level of job discipline in the meteorological sector.

And they heard from the Assistant deputy for the Meteorological Sector in the Authority, Engineer Muhammad Saeed Hamid, an explanation of the work mechanisms in the sector and the ongoing updates in it, and his duties in following up on weather phenomena and issuing weather bulletins, alerts and warnings.

Among the achievements made by the meteorological sector in the past period, including the installation and modernization of stations, bringing their number to 28 conventional and automatic monitoring stations, some of which work around the clock, in addition to the development of the modernization of the National Center of Meteorology.

The Minister of Transport was briefed on the services of the National Center for Meteorology and Marine, the General Administration of Climate and the work of the weather forecast studio, which is broadcast daily on Yemeni channels.

The Minister of Transport praised the efforts of the technical and professional meteorology sector, stressing the need to keep pace with development and modernization in the sector to provide services that the citizen can touch, and that contribute to societal awareness of the importance of meteorology.

He pointed to the need to pay attention to training and qualifying meteorological cadres technically and professionally, in order to contribute to the development of the services of the Public Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology.

He was accompanied during the visit by the Assistant Undersecretary for the Air Navigation Sector Abdullah Al-Mutawakel, the directors of the Airports Sector Amin Jamaan and the Meteorological Sector Hadi Khairan.
