The Minister of Transport stresses the importance of partnership with the Anti-Corruption Commission
Minister of Transport Zakaria Al-Shami stressed the importance of continuing the partnership with the Supreme National Authority for Combating Corruption in the areas of training, qualification and awareness to enhance the values of integrity and transparency.
During today’s meeting, the Minister Al-Shami, which included the Secretary-General of the Supreme National Authority for Combating Corruption, Judge Abdul-Rahman Al-Mutawakel, and those concerned in the ministry, indicated the need for concerted efforts to combat corruption, stressing that the ministry would continue combating corruption and enhancing transparency in cooperation with the authority.
The meeting dealt with arrangements for concluding the awareness and training program organized by the Supreme National Authority for Combating Corruption and the Ministry of Transport, to enhance transparency, integrity and fight corruption in the Ministry and its affiliated bodies and institutions.
For his part, the Secretary of the Supreme National Authority for Combating Corruption praised the efforts of the Minister of Transport and the program’s work team, explaining that the conclusion of the anti-corruption awareness program comes in conjunction with the celebration of the International Anti-Corruption Day, which falls on December 9th.
