The Minister of Transport warns of developments in the campus and grounds of Sana’a airport

The Minister of Transport, Amer Al-Marani, warned of the consequences of the random developments and construction in the campus and territories of Sana’a International Airport, in hindering its development plans and upgrading its navigation services.

In a meeting held  at Sana’a International Airport, the Minister of Transport referred to the repeated attacks on the airport’s lands and campuses, calling on the concerned authorities and in cooperation with the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology to prevent these innovations and provide the necessary protection for the airport’s lands and campuses.

The meeting, in the presence of the deputy  of the Ministry of Transport for the Air Transport Sector, Abdullah Al-Ansi, the President of the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Dr. Muhammad Abdul-Rahman Abdul-Qadir, the Authority’s deputy, Raed Jabal, the Assistant deputy for the Airports Sector, Yahya Al-Kahlani, and the Director General of Sanaa Airport, Khaled Al-Shayef, discussed the necessary measures to be taken to prevent random construction work on the campus of Sanaa Airport And the requirements of planning the surrounding areas and the roads leading to it.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to prepare a matrix that includes updating the airport plans to prevent problems of random urban sprawl and circulate it to the concerned authorities in the country.
