The Ministry of Transport confirms the readiness of Sana’a airport and demands to open it

The Ministry of Transport  renewed its request to the United Nations, the International Civil Aviation Organization, ICAO, the international community, and human rights and humanitarian organizations to press and forcefully press the coalition of aggression to quickly lift the blockade on Sana’a International Airport to fulfill international conditions through a prisoner exchange deal.

In a statement, the ministry affirmed that the airport was ready from the technical and operational aspects to receive all civilian flights through the air bridge for the prisoner exchange deal that took place in the middle of this month.

The statement stated that the arrival and departure of prisoners ’aircraft supervised by the International Committee of the Red Cross coincided with the arrival and departure of UN and international organizations and cargo planes, which confirms that the airport is equipped with all technical services according to international conditions and requirements in accordance with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

The statement pointed out that the International Committee of the Red Cross praised the air navigation services provided by Sana’a Airport to civil aircraft with high technical readiness in accordance with international conditions in force at international airports and for the successful exchange of prisoners via the air bridge.

The statement pointed out that the prisoner exchange deal revealed the falsehood of the slanders practiced by the coalition of aggression led by Saudi Arabia and the UAE, aiming to shade the international community about the lack of readiness and ability of Sana’a Airport to receive civilian flights.
