Warnings of a humanitarian catastrophe as a result of the continued aggression by seizing fuel ship.

 

The branch of the General Authority for organizing  Land Transport Affairs in the Capital has warned of a humanitarian catastrophe as a result of the continued detention of fuel ships by the US-Saudi aggression coalition, which threatens to stop all commercial, agricultural and service activities and paralyze the movement of transport.

The authority indicated in a statement during a protest pause organized today in front of the United Nations office in Sana’a in cooperation with the Industry and Trade Office in the Secretariat and the Yemen Oil Company, that more than 150,000 means of transporting passengers and goods were affected as a result of the lack of oil derivatives, which affected the rest of the sectors, as land transport is an artery life.

The statement pointed out that the aircraft of the US-Saudi aggression coalition targeted five thousand and 224 roads and bridges, seven thousand and 945 means of transportation and 858 cargo trucks.

The statement appealed to the international community, human rights organizations and free people of the world to pressure to allow the entry of oil derivatives ships to alleviate human suffering.. It referred to the demands of service sectors and institutions that warned against stopping their services due to the lack of fuel.

In its statement during the protest pause , the Secretariat’s Industry Office indicated that the continuation of piracy and the detention of fuel ships led to the deterioration of the economic and living conditions of the citizen because he did not obtain his basic needs of goods, food products and medicines.

The statement pointed out that the arbitrary practices of the coalition of aggression led to a rise in the prices of food commodities, a rise in the production costs of local industries, and the expiration of perishable goods that need refrigerated transportation.

He demanded the lifting of the blockade and the unconditional entry of ships of oil derivatives and basic commodities, stressing the need to open airports and land, sea and air ports.

While a statement issued by the oil company denounced the international silence towards the suffering of the Yemeni people as a result of the blockade and piracy on fuel ships… blaming the United Nations for the deterioration of the humanitarian situation and what the situation will lead to in the coming days.
