Weather warns again of the flow of torrents and low horizontal visibility

The National Meteorological Center warned, again, of the flow of torrents and the low level of horizontal visibility and rock and mudslides during the past 24 hours.

 

In a warning bulletin, the center expected a copy of varying intensity of rain, accompanied by thunderstorms, in general, on parts of the western mountainous highlands.

 

He pointed out that the rain will extend eastward towards parts of the internal plateaus, to include parts of the heights of the governorates of Dali, Lahj, Abyan, Al Bayda, Shabwa, Marib and Al-Jawf during the afternoon and sky periods, and may extend until late periods of the night.

 

The Center also expected that the rains include parts of the deserts of the governorates of Ma’rib, Al-Jawf, Hadhramaut, Mahrah and coastal areas in general, and the areas adjacent to them in general, as well as the Socotra Archipelago.

 

He stated that the water raft and fog will form on the slopes of the governorates of Hajjah, Al Mahwit, Rima, Ibb, Taiz, Al Dhali ‘, Lahj, Abyan and parts of the heights of the governorates of Al Bayda, Shabwa and Hadramout.

 

The center called on citizens not to be in the stomachs of wadis during and after the rains, not to use mobile phones, to turn off all electrical devices, and to take shelter in safe places during thunderstorms.

Motorists on the roads and in the mountainous curves cautioned against declining horizontal visibility due to low clouds, dirt and fog, as well as rock and mud slides.

 

The center reported rain on Saturday, with varying intensity in parts of the governorates of Sana’a, Al Mahwit, Taiz, Al Bayda, and parts of the deserts of Hadramout and Mahra, explaining that the recorded rain in Seiyun amounted to 45 mm, and in Dhamar 17 mm, Rimah 9.6 mm, Ibb 4.6 mm, Imran is 3.3 mm, Hajjah 3.2 mm.
