With the participation of 43 trainees: Launching a Training of Trainers (TOT) course on anti-corruption

The Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation launched the training course for trainers ( TOT ) on Saturday, 11/21/2020 in the field of promoting transparency and integrity, combating corruption and preventing it in Hodeidah city, which will last for six days.

 

This session is part of the awareness, educational and capacity building program for affiliates of the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation, the General Authority for Maritime Affairs and the General Authority for Land Transport Regulatory Affairs, and it is a partnership document between the Supreme National Authority for Combating Corruption and the Ministry of Transport and its affiliated institutions and bodies.

 

The starting points of this program came in implementation of the contents of the national vision to build the modern Yemeni state and the directions of the political leadership represented by Field Marshal Mahdi Muhammad Al-Mashat, head of the Supreme Political Council, in order to combat corruption and enhance sustainable development efforts.

 

The training course includes many axes, including providing participants with skills and abilities in identifying training needs, identifying the difference between training, teaching and learning, how to build and prepare the training package, training basics and principles, communication skills, effective communication and drafting codes of professional conduct.

 

By dividing the participants into working groups to apply the knowledge and skills they learn in the course and their reflection on the fields, concepts and values ​​of combating corruption through participatory and applied mechanisms by the trainees.

 

It is worth noting that the course will last for six days with the participation of (43) participants, and it was concluded on Thursday 19/11/2020 AD, the activities of the training program on enhancing transparency, integrity and combating corruption for the employees of the institutions and agencies of the Ministry of Transport in Al Hudaydah Governorate, which is considered an introductory course for trainees in the field of a training course Trainers ( TOT ) in the field of anti-corruption

 

As the participants in the program receive a set of knowledge and skills related to anti-corruption, communication skills, transparency, integrity and good governance.

 

Among its outputs was the development of a general framework for the draft code of ethical and occupational conduct for the employees of the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation, which is the first institution affiliated with the Ministry of Transport to present its employees with a draft code of conduct.
