YPC in Hodeidah Governorate holds a press conference at the docks of the YRSPC and in front of the ship MIURA

The Miura ship bears the UNVIM approval and carries 14,299 tons of benzene on board.

The Yemeni Oil Company stated through the director general of the company’s branch in Hodeidah in its statement issued by the press conference that the Miura vessel was detained for a period of 260 days and bore approximately $ 3.900,000 in fines, equivalent to 2 billion and 360 million Yemeni riyals. The statement stated that the detention period was covered And the explicit complicity of the United Nations and that these fines are incurred by the Yemeni citizens.

The oil company’s statement emphasized that the aim of detaining the ships of oil derivatives is to raise the cost of the materials to increase the suffering of the Yemeni people, despite the ships ’obtaining UNVIM permits.

The oil company’s statement held the forces of the Aggression Coalition and the United Nations fully responsible for what has happened to the situation in the previous periods and what will happen to the situation in the coming periods, as well as the responsibility for all the suffering of the Yemeni people due to the continued piracy and siege.

In turn, Professor / Muhammad Ayyash Qahim, Acting Governor of Hodeidah Governorate, called on the United Nations and the international community to bear his responsibility to pressure the countries of the coalition of aggression to stop the aggression and lift the blockade that affects all ships, especially ships of oil derivatives.

The Acting Governor of Hudaydah Governorate confirmed in the press conference that the forces of the coalition of aggression and the United Nations deliberately detain oil shipments coming to the port of Hodeidah, causing a stifling supply crisis and an increase in the suffering of Yemeni citizens.

And the engineer / Yahya Abbas Sharaf al-Din, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation, indicated at the press conference that the coalition forces continue to detain all ships for different periods despite obtaining UN permits to enter the port of Hodeidah from the verification and inspection mechanism in Djibouti, which was supposed to transfer that mechanism. To the port of Hodeidah.

The Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation said that the continued detention of ships, especially oil derivative tankers, by the aggression coalition will greatly affect all vital sectors such as health, agriculture, water, environment and others, which will increase the suffering of citizens.
