YRSPC :- Carrying out maintenance work for marine equipment and boats in the port of Hodeida

The General Administration of Technical Affairs at the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation is currently completing the maintenance work for the marine boat “Abu Ali” at the slide of marine pontoons in the port of Hodeida.

The Technical Department clarified that the maintenance works for the launch, which started in early April of this year 2021 AD, are in full swing, with the completion rate reaching 80 percent.

She pointed out that the maintenance that took place for the launch included all parts of the hull buried under water, including valves, cooling networks, rudder, population system and propellers. The surface of the launch is also maintained above the sea line.

She confirmed that the maintenance carried out by the administration comes in accordance with the maintenance program for the year 2021 AD, where operational, emergency and emergency maintenance is carried out for marine floats, and includes maintenance of the left engine of the tugboat “22 May” with the cooling system and maintenance of the hull above the sea line of the boat “Shabwa” with maintenance of the launch equipment in the engine room The Hajja and Taiz boats are also maintained to maintain the continuity of the boats’ work in guidance, towing and transportation and to ensure their readiness.

 

The technical department noted that, within the framework of maintaining the operational readiness at the port of Hodeida, technicians and engineers are currently servicing the ventus tongs, caterpillar tongs, locomotives (22, 27) and incubator No. 10, while continuing the operational maintenance of the rest of the equipment to ensure its readiness to perform its tasks in the field of work.

 

The leadership of the Technical Department commended the keenness of the Corporation’s leadership to follow up the implementation of the periodic maintenance of the machinery and equipment of its facilities to ensure that they do not stop and continue in service, especially in light of the current conditions that the country is going through as a result of the aggression and siege, and to prevent the import of spare parts required by the operational process at the Corporation’s ports
