YRSPC clarifies about the containers entering the port of Hodeidah

vice President of the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation, Engineer Yahya Sharaf al-Din, said that the containers currently entering the port of Hodeidah, west of Yemen, belong to the World Food Program.

He explained that these containers carry oils and foods belonging to the program. He pointed out that the number of containers entering the port is very small, and they enter with restricted powers from the coalition.

He pointed out that the port of Hodeidah received 320 thousand containers, between 2013 and 2014. He stressed that since November 2017, no container ships have reached the port.

Sharaf al-Din noted that the coalition no longer allows entry of only a few materials to the port of Hodeidah, and is subject to obstruction, as is the case with ships of oil derivatives.
