Al-Sama’i discusses the efforts of the Ministry of Transport to advance its various sectors

Today’s meeting, chaired by a member of the Supreme Political Council, Sultan Al-Sami’i, discussed the efforts of the Ministry of Transport andIts Authorities And Corporations to advance the various transport sectors and overcome the challenges imposed by the aggression and siege.

The meeting, which included the Minister of Transport Abdul Wahab Al-Durra and the Undersecretary for Air Transport Affairs Abdullah Al-Ansi and Maritime Transport Khaled Al-Nimr, touched on the attacks on the sanctuaries and lands of Sanaa Airport and Taiz Airport, and the extent of the damage caused to them as a result of direct aggression’s targeting of their various facilities.

The meeting, in the presence of the directors of the airports sector, Amin Jamaan, and Sanaa International Airport, Khaled Al-Shayef, reviewed the report of the committee in charge of going to Hodeida and its recommendations to solve the problems with his property and lands in its geographical surroundings.

The meeting valued the efforts of the local authority in Hodeida Governorate to protect the lands of Hodeida Airport, stressing the importance of rehabilitating Hodeida International Airport.

At the meeting, the senior political member stressed the need to preserve the precincts and lands of the airports of Sana’a and Taiz in cooperation with the relevant authorities.. Pointing to the strategic importance of the airports, which necessitates the concerned and relevant authorities to work to address the problems they face and to address the irresponsible actions of some weak-minded people .

Al-Sami’i praised the efforts of the ministry and its Authorities to advance the transport sector and find practical solutions to overcome the problems imposed by the aggression and siege.

He urged the submission of an integrated project for the problems facing the Ministry of Transport in order to take the necessary measures to address the challenges and ensure the protection of the lands and precincts of airports, especially in Sana’a and Taiz.

Minister of Transport confirmed that the upcoming extension of the truce will include opening new destinations and daily flights to meet the needs of travelers from Sanaa International Airport for treatment, businessmen, expatriates and students.

“The implementation of the UN truce is subject to mood and control by the coalition countries in full view of the United Nations, which indicates the absence of a real intention to enter into a comprehensive peace process.”He said
Minister Al-Durra stated that the limited opening of Sanaa airport and the port of Hodeida, during the armistice, does not meet the minimum needs that would alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni citizen.

He also stressed that the Ministry of Transport is working in coordination with the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority to preserve the lands and campuses of airports in Sana’a, Taiz and Hodeida from random construction, developments and illegal elevations.
