Discussing the development plans for land transport for the next year 1445 AH

 

The Board of Directors of the Land Transport Regulatory Authority, in its meeting, chaired by the Chairman of the Authority, Walid Al-Wadaei, discussed development plans in the field of land transport for the next year 1445 AH, according to the national vision strategy for building a modern state.

 

The meeting reviewed the mechanism for implementing projects and programs accompanying the modernization, development and organization of the land transport field, in a way that contributes to meeting the needs of citizens in all governorates, in implementation of the directives of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council.

 

He touched on the electronic payment project for urban transport as a first stage in Ibb Governorate, through the smart card and POS devices for all public transportation in the governorate.

 

In the meeting, Al-Wadaei explained that the authority’s plans for the next year come within the framework of the national vision in the field of land transport, indicating that the land transport projects are strategic and investment that will modernize the areas of land transport.

 

He stressed the importance of benefiting from modern technology and technology that would organize the transportation process and meet the needs of citizens within cities and between governorates
