Discussing the level of performance of the General Authority for Land Transport Regulatory Activities

meeting in Sana’a, chaired by the chairman of the General Authority for Regulating Land Transport Affairs, Walid Al-Wadaei, discussed the level of performance in the authority’s projects and activities within the second phase of the national vision to build the modern Yemeni state.

The meeting, in the presence of the head and members of the main executive unit of the transport sector and members of the sub-unit of the authority, reviewed the mechanisms for implementing projects according to the timetable and the most important difficulties facing the workflow.

He touched upon the regulations governing land transport, a code of occupational conduct, job description, organizational structure, and networking, automated it with all branches of the authority and investment plans for the advancement of the fields of land transport.

In the meeting, the chairman of the authority, Al-Wady, referred to the importance of implementing projects according to the timetable, especially the public service building project and the main gate at the authority’s headquarters.

He pointed out that the authority has projects of strategic importance in the areas of land transport, most notably the dry ports in the Municipality and Sana’a Governorate, as it will make a qualitative leap in the process of organizing transport, relieving congestion and regulating revenues and resources.

He indicated that there are also investment projects under implementation that are currently being worked out, including the heavy transport parking project in Hodeidah Governorate, which includes the entrance gate, a central station, maintenance workshops, a mosque, public services, the exit gate, the authority building with a capacity of 1500 parking spaces and others.

The head of the General Authority for Regulating Land Transport affirmed keenness to enhance the aspects of training and qualification of the cadres professionally and technically to ensure the improvement of work.

In a course, the head of the main executive unit of the transport sector, Eng. Nazir Al-Dabai, praised the level of implementation of the authority’s projects that were included in the National Vision in its first and second phases, urging

The necessity to adhere to the deadlines set for the implementation of projects.

After the meeting, the Chairman of the Authority, along with the head and members of the main executive unit of the transport sector and the technical unit of the authority, were briefed on the progress of work on the project of the public service building and the main gate of the main center of the authority, which includes a special hall for the beneficiaries of the services of the authority, the licenses hall and the main gate of the headquarters of the Authority.
