The Red Sea Ports Corporation announces its readiness to receive container ships

 

The Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Red Sea Ports Corporation confirmed the corporation’s readiness to receive container ships.

Engineer Yahya Sharaf El-Din said in a statement to “Al Masirah Channel” today, that the facilities provided by the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation are better than the facilities provided in the ports under the control of the occupation.. Pointing out that the ports under the control of the occupation do not operate according to specific regulations and systems, but rather It is subject to the management of the occupier who controls the quality of imports to it.

He pointed out that the large population density is within the geographical framework of the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation.. He stressed that the customs tariff in the port of Hodeida is much lower than the customs tariff in the ports under the control of the occupation.. He added that the costs of marine insurance and transportation from the port of Aden are very high and borne by the citizen Yemeni.”

For his part, Director General of Hodeida Port Customs, Abdullah Muhammad Habib, explained that Hodeida port is distinguished from the rest of the republic’s ports, as Hodeida port is a comprehensive port for containers, blocks, cars, timber, silos, oil derivatives and other imports.

He explained that the revenues to the port of Hodeida declined from 70% to 7% in light of the aggression and the siege, while the deficit rate during the first half of this year compared to the first half of last year was only 385 percent.

And he indicated that the customs facilities in Hodeida port do not exist in any customs port at the level of Yemen… adding that “Hodeida port customs provides all facilities for all traders, the private and commercial sector and the public sector, especially the recently announced cuts
