Corona: The Belgian government invites land transport companies to disinfect their buses

Belgium 24 – The federal government has asked land transport companies to disinfect their buses if they transport someone with the Coronavirus.

 

The government informed the FBAA (the Belgian Federation of Bus Operators and Coaches) that vehicles should be disinfected, and the latter in turn informed its members.

 

The government notes that chairs and windows in particular need to be thoroughly cleaned to avoid spreading the virus among travelers.

 

FBAA, for its part, called on bus companies and drivers to follow this advice and adhere to preventive cleaning of their cars as well.

 

In addition, the sector is also trying to reduce the consequences of the epidemic as several companies decided to cut their flights, especially to the areas where the virus is spread.

 

It should be noted that the Belgian Foreign Ministry advised yesterday, Friday, to postpone school trips to Italy and France.
