A joint meeting in the Shura Council discusses the obstacles facing the transportation sector

A joint meeting , in the Shura Council, headed by Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council, Muhammad Al-Durra, discussed the obstacles facing the transportation sector and ways to address them.

The meeting, which included the rapporteur of the Council’s Local Authority and Services Committee, Salah Al-Dabibi, a number of council members, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Abdullah Al-Ansi, the Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Dr. Muhammad Abdul Qader, and the Chairman of the Red Sea Ports Corporation, Zaid Al-Washli, reviewed topics related to the committee’s report on The current situation of the transportation sector.

At the meeting, the Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council stressed the importance of the transportation sector in the economic development process.
He praised the efforts of the Ministry of Transport and its affiliated bodies and institutions, despite the restrictions imposed by the aggression and the siege on airports and ports.

Al-Durra pointed out the importance of concerted efforts to find ways to overcome all the difficulties facing this vital sector and in a way that is commensurate with the available capabilities and requirements of the stage.

For his part, Al-Dubaibi confirmed that the committee is working on preparing an integrated report on the transportation sector and the difficulties it faces in light of the aggression and siege, which will include recommendations for appropriate treatments.
