Al-Ruwaishan stresses importance of airports’ & seaports’ role in developing national economy

Deputy Prime Minister of the Caretaker Government for Defense and Security Affairs – Head of the Main Committee for Preserving the Lands and Campus of Taiz International Airport, Lieutenant General Jalal Al-Ruwaishan, stressed the importance of the airports’ and seaports’ role in economic development and moving the wheel of the national economy.

Al-Ruwaishan explained in a meeting of the main committee for preserving the lands and campus of Taiz International Airport today in Sana’a, in the presence of the Caretaker Minister of Transport – Vice Chairman of the Committee, Abdul Wahab Al-Durrah, that the strength of economically developed countries depends on the extent of their interest in airports and ports in terms of developing and modernizing them, paying attention to them and the services they provide in accordance with requirements and international conditions.

In turn, the Caretaker Minister of Transport – Vice President, indicated the keenness of the Ministry and the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority to restore and rehabilitate Taiz and Hodeida international airports and Sa’ada Airport, which were completely destroyed by the American-Saudi-Emirati aggression.

He stated that one of the Ministry’s priorities is to work on rehabilitating Yemeni airports , ports and developing them in accordance with international conditions , requirements and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

The main committee for preserving the lands and campus of Taiz International Airport, in its meeting in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport for the Air Transport Sector, Abdullah Al-Ansi, the Undersecretary of the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority, Raed Jabal, the directors of Taiz International Airport, Nabil Shamsan, and the Airports Sector, Amin Jumaan, reviewed the reports that had been completed , worked on on the ground, and the studies submitted from the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority to rehabilitate Taiz International Airport.
