Sa’dah Governor and Deputy Minister of Roads Inspect Several Road Projects in the Governorate

 

Sa’dah Governor Mohammed Awad and Deputy Minister of Transport and Public Works for Roads, Engineer Nabil Al-Haifi, who also heads the Roads Maintenance Fund, inspected the progress of the first phase of the “Southern Ring Road – Ghraz” road project in Sa’dah today.

Awad and Al-Haifi received a briefing from the project engineers on its components and the progress of the first phase.

The governor, the deputy minister, and Ibrahim Al-Nimri, the governorate’s deputy for public works, also inspected the ongoing paving of the five-kilometer-long “Bani Awir Al-Sharqi” road, a project costing 500 million riyals and funded by the Roads Maintenance Fund, the local authority, and community contributions.

They also reviewed the two roads leading to the Republican Hospital and the Faculty of Medicine at Sa’dah University, noting the traffic congestion and discussing plans for future road projects to improve access to the hospital and the faculty. During the visit, the local authority and the Road Maintenance Fund signed a memorandum of understanding to implement several road projects in the governorate’s capital, totaling 605 million riyals, jointly funded by the Fund and the local authority.

Governor Awad praised the Ministry of Transport and Public Works, represented by the Road Maintenance Fund, for its commitment to implementing projects that facilitate the movement of citizens. He emphasized the governorate’s need for numerous road projects, both in the capital and in the districts, to alleviate the suffering of its residents.
