The Cabinet Discusses the Level of Preparation for the 1448 AH Plan

 

The Cabinet, in its regular meeting today, chaired by Acting Prime Minister Allamah Muftah, discussed the topics on its agenda, in addition to local, regional, and international developments.

The Cabinet, which began its session with verses from the Holy Quran, congratulated the Iraqi people on the Iraqi Coordination Framework’s announcement of its selection of Ali al-Zaidi as a candidate for Prime Minister and the formation of the new government, wishing him success in fulfilling the hopes and aspirations of the brotherly Iraqi people.

The Cabinet reiterated its affirmation of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s right to defend itself, clarifying that the Republic of Yemen will not stand idly by in the face of the aggression and violations perpetrated by America and its protégé, Israel, against the peoples of the nation.

The Cabinet praised the military operations carried out by the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon and the great heroic steadfastness of the Resistance and its supporters. It affirmed that the Lebanese government’s steps toward negotiations with the Israeli enemy serve the Zionist project in the region and harm Lebanon’s national interests.

The Cabinet also commended the security achievements of the Yemeni security services in apprehending intelligence cells, and praised the community’s role in cooperating with security agencies by reporting suspicious activities.

The Cabinet stressed the importance of awareness and vigilance within the community to maintain security and stability.

The Cabinet reviewed the report submitted by Fahd Al-Azzi, Acting Director of the Prime Minister’s Office, on the progress of the annual plan for the year 1447 AH and the arrangements made for preparing the plan for the year 1448 AH.

The Cabinet commended the overall level of achievement in the current year’s plan and directed all ministries and their affiliated bodies to redouble their efforts to complete the remaining aspects of the plan, each within its respective area of responsibility, and to finalize the arrangements for the 1448 AH plan.
The Council reviewed the report of the Minister of Civil Service and Administrative Development, Dr. Khaled Al-Hawali, on the progress of streamlining procedures, processing transactions, and improving the quality of services in public service units.

The Acting Prime Minister stressed the need for continuous evaluation of the performance of public service units in this regard, and the importance of expediting transactions and following up on any delays.

He also emphasized the importance of ministries and their affiliated entities adhering to the open day policy for meeting with citizens and those seeking services.

The Cabinet also reviewed the report of the Chairman of the General Authority for Zakat, Sheikh Shamsan Abu Nashatan, on the Authority’s work and activities, its most significant achievements, joint projects with government agencies, and the roles required of it in implementing these projects.

The Cabinet discussed the report of the Chairman of the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance, Allamah Abdulmajid Al-Houthi, on the problems and obstacles facing the Authority and their negative impact on its ability to fulfill its role in preserving and maintaining endowment funds.

The Council emphasized the importance of relevant entities fulfilling their roles in supporting the Authority in carrying out its assigned tasks and responsibilities. The Council also reviewed a report by the Chairman of the General Authority for the Care and Rehabilitation of Martyrs’ Families, Taha Jaran, on the Authority’s work and activities and its role in providing care, support, and comprehensive services to the families of martyrs.

It also reviewed a paper submitted by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor on the measures taken to reduce the phenomenon of begging, and the complementary roles and responsibilities with a number of relevant government agencies to combat this phenomenon in all its dimensions and negative effects on society.

The Cabinet listened to a briefing from the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Nabih Nasser, on the final arrangements for the summer courses and activities for the year 1447 AH.

The Acting Prime Minister commended the role played by the Technical Committee for the Summer Courses and the efforts of all those who contributed to their success from all segments of society.

The Council also listened to a briefing from the Deputy Minister of Interior, Major General Abdulmajid Al-Murtada, on the security situation and the efforts exerted by the Ministry to maintain security and public order. The Cabinet also listened to a briefing from the Minister of Oil and Minerals, Dr. Abdullah Al-Amir, on the supply situation of petroleum products, in addition to a briefing on the supply situation of goods and foodstuffs from the Acting Minister of Economy, Industry, and Investment, Sam Al-Bashiri.

The Cabinet discussed a number of items on its agenda and took appropriate action regarding them.
