Discussion of the Role of Merchants and Businessmen in Supporting Ramadan Charity Projects in Azal District

 

The Deputy Ministers of Transport and Public Works, Yahya Al-Sayani, and Electricity, Energy, and Water, Adel Bader, met today with a number of merchants, businessmen, and affluent individuals in Azal District, Sana’a Governorate.

During the meeting, which was attended by the Director of Azal District, Mohammed Al-Ghalis, and local, mobilization, and social leaders in the district, the role of merchants and businessmen in supporting Ramadan charity activities and projects, as well as acts of benevolence, charity, and social solidarity was discussed.

In the meeting, Al-Sayani and Bader emphasized the social responsibility that rests on everyone, especially merchants and affluent individuals, to check on the conditions of impoverished families in the district and provide the necessary support to meet their needs.

They also pointed to the role of local authorities, dignitaries, and social figures in coordinating with merchants, affluent individuals, and philanthropists to provide support to charitable kitchens and bakeries that provide meals to poor and needy families.

The meeting touched on the importance of taking advantage of the days of the holy month to intensify acts of charity, kindness, and benevolence, and to check on the poor and needy and extend a helping hand to them, in this blessed month in which God multiplies the reward and recompense for those who spend, do good, and strive in acts of charity and benevolence.
