Ministry of Transport and Public Works Organizes Protest in Response to Insults to the Holy Quran and Islamic Sanctities

The Ministry of Transport and Public Works, along with its affiliated bodies and institutions, organized a protest today at the General Authority for Roads and Bridges, expressing outrage at the repeated and deliberate American insults to the Holy Quran and Islamic sanctities.
During the protest, Minister of Transport and Public Works, Mohammed Qahim, emphasized that the participation of the Yemeni people in general, and the Ministry of Transport employees in particular, reflects their profound anger at the insults perpetrated by the enemies of the nation against the purest and most sacred book on earth.
He explained that the Holy Quran is a light, guidance, and practical methodology revealed by God Almighty to the best of mankind and the Seal of the Prophets and Messengers, Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family.
He noted that the millions of Yemenis who took to the streets were defending the Wise Book of God and implementing the directives of the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi. During the demonstration, which was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works, Engineer Ali Rajih, the Acting Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yemen Airways, Khalil Jahaf, the Director of Sana’a International Airport, Khaled Al-Shaif, and a number of directors and employees from the Ministry and its affiliated bodies, participants raised copies of the Holy Quran.
The participants expressed their strong condemnation and denunciation of the systematic insults and repeated crimes against the Holy Quran by America and the Zionist entity, emphasizing that these actions reflect deep-seated hatred and ongoing hostility towards the Book of God and the sacred symbols of Muslims.
A statement issued at the demonstration, read by the Chairman of the General Authority for Roads and Bridges, Engineer Abdulrahman Al-Hadrami, explained that the participation of leaders and employees of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works and its affiliated bodies and institutions in this protest was an expression of strong condemnation and denunciation of the repeated crimes targeting Islamic holy sites, most notably the burning of copies of the Holy Quran. He emphasized that these reprehensible acts constitute a blatant assault on the feelings of more than two billion Muslims worldwide and represent an unacceptable provocation of religious sanctities and sacred sites.
The statement reiterated the Islamic position rejecting any infringement upon the Holy Quran or any Islamic sanctities, regardless of the pretexts or justifications.
It called upon the international community and human rights and humanitarian organizations to unequivocally condemn these crimes and to take decisive legal action against anyone who dares to insult Islamic religious beliefs and sacred sites.
It urged Arab and Muslim peoples and governments to take effective diplomatic and political measures to protect Islamic sanctities, confront the culture of hatred against Islam and Muslims, activate economic and trade boycotts against all those who support these heinous and atrocious crimes against Islamic sanctities, and hold marches and demonstrations in all Arab and Muslim countries to condemn and denounce these insults. The statement described these massive demonstrations as a manifestation of Islamic unity in the face of attempts to undermine the nation’s sacred values and principles, and as a confirmation that provoking the feelings of Muslims will not go unanswered. It emphasized the need for a unified and decisive response against anyone who dares to violate Islamic sanctities.
The statement added, “The love of the Quran and the sacred sites is firmly rooted in our hearts, and we will remain loyal to our religion, defending its sanctity and holy places with all available means and capabilities.” It warned America, Israel, and their allies that repeating these offenses will not make the people of Yemen, the land of faith and wisdom, accustomed to them. Instead, it will breed hatred, anger, and a hellfire that they will taste at the hands of those with immense power and might.
