Dr. Bin Habtoor Inaugurates Yemen Electric Motors Company for Electric Vehicles
Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh Bin Habtoor, a member of the Supreme Political Council, inaugurated Yemen Electric Motors – Fortifying, an electric vehicle company, today.
At the inauguration, which was attended by the Governor of Hadramawt, Luqman Baras, the Council member praised the opening of the company, which represents an important addition to the activities of the Yemeni private sector and its investment projects and commercial activities, all of which are supported by the Supreme Political Council and the government.
He pointed to the importance of these vehicles in serving the environment and reducing heat emissions resulting from the use of fossil fuels, noting that the world is currently racing in the field of energy by relying on renewable resources and reducing dependence on traditional fuels.
He explained that this race came after the negative effects of petroleum derivatives on human health and the environment became apparent globally, emphasizing the importance of expanding the availability of electric vehicles and the necessary power stations to supply them with electricity in all governorates. Dr. Bin Habtoor expressed hope that the electric vehicle sector would witness further expansion in the coming years, thereby reducing reliance on fossil fuels. He considered this type of activity important and vital.
The opening ceremony, attended by a number of business leaders, included a presentation about the company and a film showcasing the types and specifications of its vehicles.
