Finance Minister Commends Performance of Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund
Finance Minister Abduljabbar Ahmed met today with the Chairman of the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund, Engineer Nabil Al-Haifi.
During the meeting, they reviewed road maintenance projects implemented by the Fund in the past period and the Fund’s efforts to implement the approved plans for the current year in all governorates and districts, which aim to maintain their main roads.
The meeting emphasized that the Fund’s maintenance plans focus on the main entrances to governorates and cities, in addition to roads serving the largest segment of the population.
During the meeting, the Finance Minister commended the efforts exerted by the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund in various governorates despite the difficulties and limited resources.
He noted that the Fund’s leadership and staff have demonstrated a high level of competence in managing available resources in projects whose impact is directly felt by citizens.
He affirmed the Ministry of Finance’s commitment to supporting the Fund’s efforts to implement its plans within the available resources. For his part, the head of the fund expressed his thanks to the Minister of Finance for his constant interaction with the fund’s plans and programs, noting that this represents an additional incentive to exert more efforts aimed at enhancing performance in road maintenance in general.
