Inauguration of the Unified Land Port for Public Transport Companies in Sana’a

The General Authority for Regulating Land Transport Affairs inaugurated today in Sana’a the unified land port for international public transport companies, coinciding with the start of the Hajj pilgrimage.

The land port, implemented by the Authority in cooperation and coordination with the Yemeni Economic Corporation and the Hajj and Umrah sector, represents a qualitative leap in the land transport sector. It brings together all international public transport companies operating in the capital under one roof, aiming to eliminate haphazard practices and unify service and oversight efforts at a single point of entry, ensuring the safety and smooth flow of passengers.

The port includes hangars for public transport company buses, a dedicated parking area for citizens’ and visitors’ vehicles, offices for various transport companies, and rest areas equipped to serve passengers during waiting and departure times.

The port is also equipped with restrooms for men and women, a prayer area, and separate entry and exit gates to regulate traffic flow and prevent congestion. The land port witnessed the inauguration of the boarding station for the guests of God, where the pilgrims were transported after the completion of all the technical arrangements, administrative and service procedures necessary for travel, amid praise from the pilgrims and travelers for the level of organization and field services that saved them a lot of effort.
