Inspecting the Progress of Maintenance and Rehabilitation Work on the Hodeidah-Bajil Road

The head of the supervisory team for the Roads Maintenance Fund in Hodeidah and Raymah governorates, Engineer Zaid Al-Moshki, inspected the progress of the maintenance and rehabilitation project on the main Hodeidah-Bajil road. The project is being implemented with funding from the Roads Maintenance Fund and under the supervision of the governorate’s Public Works Department.

Al-Moshki, accompanied by the Director of the Public Works Department in Al-Marawi’ah District, Engineer Abdullah Al-Sharafi, reviewed the project’s progress, which has reached 60 percent. They listened to explanations from the engineers and technicians regarding the remaining work and the timeline for its completion, ensuring the continued operation of this vital road and the smooth flow of traffic.

Al-Moshki urged the technical teams to redouble their efforts and accelerate the pace of work to complete the remaining maintenance before Eid al-Fitr. He emphasized that this road is a strategic artery, especially during the Eid holiday, which sees a large influx of visitors from the eastern governorates and districts towards the Red Sea coast.

For his part, Engineer Al-Sharfi stressed the keenness of the Works Sector to overcome any obstacles facing the progress of work on this line, as it is the eastern gateway to the governorate and the main passage for travelers and transport convoys. He explained that field supervision is ongoing to ensure that the restoration and paving works are carried out in accordance with the approved specifications, which contributes to alleviating the suffering of travelers and reducing traffic accidents.
