Ministry of Transport and Public Works Emergency Committee Meets to Update Emergency Plan

The Ministry of Transport and Public Works Emergency Committee held a meeting today, chaired by Deputy Minister Yahya Al-Sayani, to update the emergency plan.

The meeting, which was attended by the ministry’s undersecretaries and heads of its affiliated bodies and institutions, reviewed the tasks and responsibilities assigned to each entity within the framework of implementing the emergency plan.

The role of the General Authority for Roads and Bridges, the Road Maintenance Fund, and other ministry-affiliated bodies and institutions in emergency operations was also discussed.

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Transport and Public Works emphasized the importance of raising the level of preparedness and readiness for any eventuality that may arise in the current situation.

He pointed to the importance of working according to an integrated and unified mechanism that considers various aspects and ensures the best possible results, explaining that the exceptional circumstances the country is experiencing necessitate continued preparedness at all levels. Al-Sayani pointed out the need to keep equipment and machinery fully prepared to provide support and assistance in times of emergency and to be careful to deal responsibly with developments in this regard.
