Prime Minister Muftah Reviews Modernization and Development Program for the General Authority for Roads and Bridges

Acting Prime Minister Muftah, accompanied by Deputy Minister of Transport and Public Works Yahya Al-Sayani, visited the General Authority for Roads and Bridges today and reviewed the Authority’s operations and its modernization and development programs.
During the visit, the Acting Prime Minister inspected the new batch of vehicles and equipment purchased by the Authority under the 2020-2025 Development, Resource Growth, and Asset Acquisition Program, at a cost of approximately six billion riyals.
He commended the efforts of the Ministry and Authority leadership in advancing the Authority and its activities across various governorates, particularly its intervention in rapid and emergency situations, especially in addressing flood damage.
Prime Minister Muftah noted that the Authority’s efficiency and rapid response in the field have been demonstrated recently, highlighting the vital role of these modern vehicles and equipment in enhancing the Authority’s performance and achievements. He urged the Ministry and Corporation leadership to continue their efforts in maintaining the road and bridge network, particularly the Sana’a-Hodeidah road.
For his part, the Chairman of the General Corporation for Roads and Bridges, Engineer Abdulrahman Al-Hadrami, expressed his gratitude to the Acting Prime Minister and the leadership of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works for their follow-up on the Corporation’s work and its positive impact on the continuous improvement of its overall performance.
He explained that the equipment and machinery purchased during this period represent a significant leap forward, especially given the difficult circumstances the country is facing.
