Launching the “Takafulon” initiative for free transportation in Ibb

Ibb Governor Abdul Wahed Salah inaugurated the “Mutakafuloun” initiative for free transportation in the districts of the governorate center, in cooperation between the office of the General Authority for Regulating Land Transport Affairs and the Zakat Authority in the governorate.
During the inauguration under the slogan “to alleviate suffering, break the siege and aggression, and achieve the principle of social solidarity”, the governor of Ibb valued the efforts made by the concerned authorities to implement this project to serve the citizens and alleviate part of their suffering.
He called on merchants, owners of capital and philanthropists to contribute to the implementation of such charitable projects that will benefit the poor and those with limited income from the local community and the displaced to the province.
And Governor Salah indicated that the initiative aims to break the monopoly and prevent the rise in transportation costs due to the lack of oil derivatives.
For his part, the director of the branch of the Public Authority for Land Transport in the governorate, Ahmed Mayas, in the presence of the governorate’s deputy, Harith Al-Maliki, explained that the project in the first phase includes 20 free means of transport, financed by the transport and zakat authorities.
He stated that the traffic lines that will operate during this stage in the governorate center are the Sirte Gulf line – Al Sobol, Taiz Street – the Transportation Triangle, Al Dhihar – the Governorate – the University, the Maghain line – Jibla Junction and Jableh – Jableh Junction.
In turn, the Deputy Director of the Zakat Authority for Banking Affairs in the governorate, Jamal Al-Nahham, indicated that the project comes within the framework of charitable projects adopted by the Authority to provide part of the citizens’ necessary requirements.
