Laying foundation stone for construction eastern entrance bridge of Sana’a International Airport

At Sana’a International Airport, Transport Minister in the caretaker government, Abdul Wahab Al-Durra, laid the foundation stone and inaugurated work on the project to establish the airport’s eastern entrance bridge, with joint funding from the Civil Aviation Authority, the Road Maintenance Fund, and Yemen Airlines.

Al-Durra listened, along with the heads of the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority, Muhammad Abdul Qadir, and the Road Maintenance Fund, Eng. Nabil Al-Haifi, the Acting Director of Yemen Airlines, Khalil Jahaf, the Authority’s Undersecretary, Raed Jabal, the Airport’s General Director, Khaled Al-Shayef, and the Authority’s General Director of Construction, Hadi Khairan, were among the technicians in charge of the project.

They explained the engineering designs that will be used in accordance with the approved standards for building bridges to facilitate the passage of food supply vehicles for Yemenia Airlines and other airlines.

Minister Al-Durra stressed the importance of the project, which will contribute to the smooth flow and facilitation of the process of transporting shipments of Yemeni products intended to be exported abroad in the future, and facilitating movement from the eastern side of the airport.

In addition, he and his companions were briefed on the readiness to work in the hangar received from medical and health shipments of international humanitarian organizations operating in Yemen, in addition to the hangar exported for local products, which was restored and rehabilitated after it was destroyed by the aggression aircraft.

He pointed to the interest of the Revolutionary Leadership and the Supreme Political Council in supporting local products and exporting them abroad and encouraging investment in all fields that would revive the national economy and rely on national products.

Minister Al-Durra, along with the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority, Meteorology, the Authority’s Undersecretary, and the Director General of Sana’a International Airport, also visited the VIP lounge, which was rehabilitated by the Authority.

He appreciated the efforts of the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority in restoring the readiness of the arrival, departure and transit halls, VIP guests and other projects of importance in the field of civil aviation.
