Ministry of Transport : Suspension of flights indication that aggression countries not serious about peace

An official source at the Ministry of Transport considered the suspension of Yemeni Airlines flights through Sanaa International Airport an indication of the lack of seriousness of the aggression countries in the serious approach to peace and a disregard for all efforts made in this regard.

He stressed that this reflects the extent of the criminal insistence on the siege and the doubling of the suffering of the Yemeni people, especially the sick and travelers.

The source explained in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that what was published about the management of airlines in the occupied city of Aden is considered an indication of the lack of seriousness of the aggression countries in their serious approach to peace, and that the Yemeni Airlines Company is positioning itself as a cheap means in the hands of the aggression countries to continue the siege and double the suffering of the people. Yemen and the closure of Sanaa airport.

He pointed out that the company peddled lies and allegations far from reality and, on behalf of the aggression countries, bore the crime of siege, compounded the suffering of the Yemeni people, and deprived them of their right to travel and humanitarian trips.

The source at the Ministry of Transport also confirmed that the claims of the company’s management in occupied Aden that the company’s balances are frozen or blocked is a false claim and pure slander, and the evidence for this is that all salaries and benefits of the company’s employees in all regions of the Republic of Yemen are disbursed from the company’s balances in Sana’a, which amount to two. One million dollars per month, and that during the previous period, approximately 36 million dollars were disbursed from the company’s balances in Sana’a to meet operational expenses during the previous period.

The source pointed out that $10 million of the value of the recently purchased aircraft (A320) was disbursed from the company’s balances in Sanaa according to understandings between those involved in the management of Yemen Airways.

He considered what was reported by the company’s management in Aden that the company’s balances in Sana’a amounted to eighty million dollars, to be an attempt to hide the fact that the company has balances in its other accounts in Aden and abroad that exceeded one hundred million dollars, as it was agreed to disburse from all the company’s accounts in previously specified percentages.

The source in the Ministry of Transport condemned the company’s use of a card to stop flights and manipulate operations to and from Sana’a Airport, considering that this measure affects the Yemeni people and is inconsistent with the decision to establish the company as a national carrier for all the people and contradicts what was stated in the statement issued by the company regarding its commitment to neutrality and humanitarian and commercial operation.

The source reiterated that the Ministry of Transport is committed to implementing the agreement with the company’s management in Aden to disburse from the company’s account in a way that preserves the company’s money and ensures the safety of disbursement procedures at the rate of 60% from Sanaa and 40% from Aden in exchange for continued operation from Sanaa Airport to Jordan, and the opening of Egypt’s destinations. And India in a way that serves the needs of the Yemeni people and alleviates their suffering.

The source considered the measure of stopping flights to be a manipulation and investment in the suffering of the Yemeni people and bad politicization of a company that is supposed to be committed to neutrality as a national carrier, which puts it in the position of a partner in this crime… blaming the Aden administration and the aggression countries for all the repercussions as a result of these practices.
