Tenders ‘ s Chairman of the Authority and Minister of Transport discuss the tasks of the procurement inspection teams

Tenders ‘ s Chairman of the Authority for Tenders and Auctions Control, Eng. Abdulmalik Al-Arashi, discussed with Minister of Transport, Abdul-Wahab Al-Durra, the progress of tendering and procurement work in the ministry and its affiliated bodies.

The meeting, which included two members of the authority, Dr. Yassin Al-Khorasani and Amin Marouf Al-Jand, and leaders of the agencies affiliated with the Ministry of Transport, reviewed the tasks of the field visits teams implemented by the authority in the ministry and its affiliates, and ways to facilitate its tasks, provide the documents it requests, and abide by the law of tenders and auctions and government warehouses and its implementing regulations.

In the meeting, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Authority indicated the importance of this meeting with the leadership of the Ministry and its affiliated bodies, to see the tasks of the field visits that the Authority implements in various government agencies in accordance with the directives of the Supreme Political Council, as well as within the framework of implementing the national vision plan for building the modern Yemeni state.

He stressed the need to abide by the law in all government procurement procedures to ensure the safety of these procedures and avoid any future imbalances.

Engineer Al-Arashi pointed out that the Supreme Authority for Tenders Control is responsible for everything related to government procurement work in accordance with the law and what would protect public money and fight corruption.

For his part, the Minister of Transport appreciated the tangible role played by the authority in monitoring the safety of procurement business procedures, stressing the importance of concerted efforts to correct any imbalances in the procurement sector and protect public money.

Minister Al-Durra explained that the transport sector has been systematically targeted by the Aggression Coalition, which calls for support for the efforts of the agencies working in various fields of transport due to the nature of their work related to providing services to citizens.. stressing commitment to the tender law in all procurement work in the ministry and its affiliated bodies and institutions.

The two sides agreed to hold a consultative meeting for workers in the procurement sector in the ministry and its affiliated bodies and institutions, to discuss the final recommendations of the work of the field committees, which will identify the imbalances and problems that accompanied the procurement procedures and develop appropriate treatments and solutions.

The meeting was attended by a number of members of the technical office, general managers of the authority, agents and general managers of the Ministry of Transport and its affiliates.
