The Board of Directors of the Land Transport Regulatory Authority reviews projects and investment plans

The Board of Directors of the General Authority for Regulating Land Transport Affairs discussed, in its meeting , headed by the Authority’s Chairman, Walid Al-Wadai, the mechanism for developing the work of the authority and investment plans and projects in the areas of land transport.
The meeting, in the presence of the members of the Board of Directors, reviewed the final account for the year 2018, and the draft amendment to the decision to establish the authority for some of the items that the committee in charge of raising the draft amendment to serve the land transport sector.
The meeting touched on the draft services and procedures guide for the authority and what has been prepared by the committee in this aspect, in order to meet the desired ambitions, as well as the optimal service for workers in the land transport sector in its two parts, “passengers – goods.”
The meeting also discussed the report of direct and indirect damages to the Commission and its branches as a result of the US-Saudi aggression.
The meeting discussed aspects related to the implementation of the digital map system for land transport services, in cooperation with the Yemeni Center for Remote Sensing, with the aim of creating a land transport database as a first stage in the Municipality of the Capital to identify routes and the road network, in a way that contributes to the process of organizing and easing traffic jams.
The head of the Land Transport Regulatory Authority stressed the keenness to upgrade the land transport sector to meet future ambitions and alleviate the suffering of citizens in this aspect.
He pointed out that land transport projects are of importance to promoting economic development and embodying the national vision for building the state and its executive mechanism in the various transport sectors.
