The opening of the first phase of the data center project in the port of Hodeidah

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Red Sea Ports Corporation, Captain Muhammad Ishaq and his deputy, Zaid Al-Washli, along with the Director of the Safer Company, Engineer Idris Al-Shami, inaugurated today, Wednesday, 11-18-1444 AH corresponding to 6-07-2023 AD, the first phase of the data center project in the port of Hodeidah.
At the inauguration, which was attended by the Director General of the General Authority for Standardization and Quality Control, Mr. Ibrahim Al-Dawla, the Director General of Maritime Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Mushki, and the Deputy Director of Port Customs, Adel Abbas, Captain Ishaq considered the data center as the first building block of modern infrastructure and digital transformation in the Red Sea Ports Corporation in accordance with standards International data centers with a high security and safety system.
He stressed the importance of completing the remaining phases of the project in a way that contributes to enabling the Corporation to host the equipment for the automation project and to provide information services to the port community, including the single window, with complete safety and privacy.
Ishaq praised the efforts made in completing the first phase of the project, pointing out the importance of the digital transformation of data automation that the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation and the Hodeidah port community are seeking.

He explained that this project comes within the framework of the practical translation of the directives of the political leadership and the National Salvation Government towards digital transformation within the national vision projects for building the modern Yemeni state.
During a review of the center, the council’s advisor for information technology, Engineer Nader Qaed, gave a detailed explanation of the center, the services it will provide, the capabilities and equipment it possesses, and the ability to host services for the port community with the privacy and security of each party.
After that, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Red Sea Ports Corporation, Captain Muhammad Ishaq and his entourage, visited the old building, and directed the construction of a complex for the personnel training center and a sports stadium in the place and its equipment according to the technical specifications for that.
The opening and visit were attended by the directors of the office of the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Nabil Al-Majjaji, legal affairs, Mutahar Al-Amdi, services and equipment, Yasser Jamah, follow-up Ibrahim Ishaq, and a number of specialists and engineers.
