The Shura Council Approves the Report of the Local Authority and Services Committee on the Transport Sector

 

The Shura Council blessed the announcement by the leader of the revolution, Mr. Abdul Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, to launch the fifth phase of escalation in the face of arrogance, arrogance, and Zionism, the American, and the British in the region.

In its regular meeting held today under the chairmanship of Council President Muhammad Hussein Al-Aidaroos, the Council renewed its emphasis on the steadfastness of the Yemeni position in support of the Palestinian cause until victory is achieved, the aggression and siege of the Gaza Strip is stopped, and the Palestinian state is established on the entire Palestinian territory, with Holy Jerusalem as its capital.

The Council denounced the policy of double standards pursued by the Security Council, its double standards, and its turning a blind eye to the crimes of genocide, siege, and starvation committed by the Zionist entity in Palestine, and the blatant assault on Hodeidah Governorate.

The meeting, which began with reading Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs of the Israeli aggression on Hodeidah Governorate, in the presence of the Deputy Speakers of the Council, Abdo Muhammad Al-Jundi, Muhammad Al-Durra, and Dhaifallah Ressam, and the Minister of State for the Affairs of the House of Representatives and the Shura Council, Dr. Ali Abu Haliqa, discussed the report of the Council’s Local Authority and Services Committee on the transport sector, challenge and resilience.

At the meeting, the Chairman of the Shura Council stressed the importance of unifying ranks and supporting the directions of the state leadership to confront the challenges facing Yemen as a result of his religious, moral and humanitarian stances in supporting the Palestinian people.
He reaffirmed the Shura Council’s full support for the options of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council in confronting the evil tripartite aggression of “America, Britain, and Israel,” defending national sovereignty, and preserving the dignity of the Yemeni people.

He considered steadfastness in the face of aggression and continuing to work and build a clear message to the world of the ability of the Yemeni people to overcome difficulties and achieve the desired renaissance to create a better future for future generations.

The meeting, which included the Undersecretaries of the Ministry of Transport, Abdullah Al-Ansi and Muhammad Abu Bakr Ishaq, the Undersecretary of the Civil Aviation Authority, Raed Jabal, the Chairman of the General Authority for Land Transport Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Muayyad, the Chairman of the Local Authority and Services Committee, Abdullah Majeed, the Committee’s rapporteur, Salah Al-Dubaibi, and a number of committee members, listened to a presentation on what was included in the report. Topics related to the transport sector, its impact on the national economy, the difficulties and challenges facing transport and its bodies, and the damage and losses caused to the transport sector as a result of the aggression and siege.

The report touched on the most important achievements carried out by the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology, the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation, the General Authority for Maritime Affairs, Hodeidah Branch, and the General Authority for Land Transport Affairs Regulation.

The report pointed to the most prominent direct and indirect losses incurred by the various transportation sectors as a result of the aggression and siege, and their cost was estimated at more than 14 billion dollars, in addition to the damage to infrastructure, the cessation of most air, sea and land activities, and the closure of the airspace of the Republic of Yemen by the US-Saudi aggression coalition.

In turn, the Minister of State for the Affairs of the House of Representatives and the Shura Council, Dr. Abu Haliqa, confirmed that the implementation of the Council’s recommendations in the transport report will be followed up after submitting it to the Supreme Political Council and referring it to the government and the concerned authorities, given that transport represents great importance in achieving national development.

He appreciated the efforts of the Shura Council in preparing constructive reports and consultations and the important recommendations it came up with that help the government develop appropriate solutions and treatments for a number of issues.

The report recommended addressing the judicial authorities to issue permits to the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology to remove the remnants of bombing and destruction from the targeted airports, and addressing the relevant government authorities to quickly address the problems of the lands allocated to the airport campus.

The recommendations stressed the importance of working to increase the implementation of decisions and laws related to port restrictions, and working to lift restrictions and cancel the United Nations investigation and inspection mechanism for ships arriving at the port of Hodeidah and Saleef.

The meeting was enriched with interventions from members and representatives of the government side, which stressed the need for the concerned authorities to file a lawsuit against the aggression coalition as a result of the systematic destruction it committed of the transportation sector and its affiliated bodies.

The interventions stressed the importance of implementing the recommendations contained in the report, which would advance the transport sector and its affiliated bodies and address the difficulties and challenges facing it.

The meeting reviewed and approved the minutes of its previous meeting, and reviewed and approved the work included in its agenda.

The meeting was attended by a number of specialists from the Ministry of Transport and its affiliated bodies.
