Discussion of Procedural Steps to Complete the Merger Process at the Ministry of Transport and Public Works

A meeting was held today in Sana’a, bringing together the Minister of Civil Service and Administrative Development – Dr. Khaled Al-Hawali, who is also the Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Mergers – and the Minister of Transport and Public Works, Mohammed Qahim, as well as the Deputy Ministers of Finance, Nasser Al-Hamdani, and Communications and Information Technology, Ali Al-Makni.
During the meeting, which was attended by the Undersecretaries of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works for the Roads Sector, Engineer Nabil Al-Haifi, the Transport Sector, Alawi Yahya, the Public Works Sector, Engineer Ali Rajih, and the Planning Sector, Engineer Wadi’ Jahaf, and the Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Civil Service for the Evaluation and Training Sector, Al-Azzi Al-Hattami, and Finance for the Policies and Budgets Sector, Yahya Al-Qamari, the necessary procedural steps to complete the merger process at the Ministry of Transport and Public Works were discussed.
The meeting reviewed aspects related to completing the necessary equipment and systems to ensure the continued provision of services to citizens, emphasizing the importance of expediting the completion of the Ministry’s services manual as soon as possible.
He emphasized the need to submit a matrix detailing the tasks completed to date within the integration process, as well as the remaining work and the timeframe required for completion, along with comprehensive explanations of the financial, administrative, and technical aspects.
During the meeting, the Minister of Transport and Public Works affirmed that the Ministry is striving to complete the integration process as required, according to a specific methodology that ensures the continuity of institutional performance and the provision of services to citizens.
Qahim noted the progress made in the arrangements and distribution of departments within the Ministry building according to the new organizational structure, as well as the preparation of executive work plans in accordance with the directives and objectives of the Government’s Change and Development Program.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Civil Service and Administrative Development stressed the necessity of redoubling efforts to implement the integration within the Ministry according to the master plan for implementing the integration and modernization of public service units, ensuring a smooth structural transition and the continued service and institutional performance of the merged entities.
Dr. Al-Hawali urged the development of necessary solutions to address any problems or obstacles facing the work of the Technical Integration Committee, emphasizing the Higher Integration Committee’s commitment to providing technical support to the committee to facilitate the completion of its remaining tasks.
