Discussion of the Mechanism for Integrating the Housing Sector into the Ministry of Local and Rural Development
A meeting held today in Sana’a, which included Minister of Transport and Public Works Mohammed Qahim and Deputy Minister of Local and Rural Development Nasser Al-Mahdhar, discussed the mechanism for integrating the housing sector into the Ministry of Local and Rural Development.
The meeting, which was also attended by the head of the Technical Committee for Implementing the Integration, Dr. Tariq Al-Buraq, and committee members, addressed the executive procedures related to transferring and integrating the housing sector into the Ministry of Local and Rural Development.
The attendees emphasized the importance of preparing a comprehensive integration plan that ensures the sector fulfills its expected role in supporting development initiatives, particularly housing and urban development projects in administrative units.
The meeting also addressed aspects of institutional coordination among government agencies to improve their administrative performance, provide better services to citizens, and contribute to enhancing the efficiency of government work.
The participants pointed out the importance of the merger being carried out in accordance with what will be included in the new regulatory framework, and in a way that achieves the desired goals of the reintegration process, and keeps pace with the trends aimed at achieving local and rural development in the administrative units.
