Deputy Minister of Transport inaugurates main building of Maritime Affairs Authority after its rehabilitation

The Deputy Minister of Transport, Mohammed Al-Hashimi, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport for Maritime Affairs and Ports, Captain Mohammed Ishaq, opened, in Sana’a the main building of the Maritime Affairs Authority after its rehabilitation and restoration as a result of the destruction it was exposed to by the US-Saudi aggression.

 

Al-Hashimi and Ishaq listened to an explanation from the Acting Chairman of the Maritime Affairs Authority, Zaid Al-Washli, about the restoration and maintenance process in accordance with the terms and requirements of the International Maritime Organization.

 

At the opening, the Deputy Minister of Transport praised the efforts made by the authority’s leadership , cadres to improve work and preserve the marine environment.

He stressed the Ministry of Transport’s readiness to provide support and facilities to the Authority to enable it to develop , modernize its professional and technical work.

While the Undersecretary for Maritime Affairs and Ports pointed out the importance of activating the role of the Maritime Affairs Authority further, pointing to the importance of coordination with the concerned authorities and organizations to support the Authority in a way that enables it to enhance its role , technical and professional capabilities.

 

In addition, a meeting at the Authority headed by the Deputy Minister of Transport, which included the Undersecretary for Maritime Affairs and Ports, the Acting Chairman of the Maritime Affairs Authority, and the Assistant Undersecretary for Land Transport Affairs, Abdul Malik Ali, reviewed the Authority’s tasks and future plans.
