Ministry of Transport and its Authorites and corprations launch the Code of Conduct

Ministry of Transport and its Authorities and corporations agencies inaugurated the work of a code of professional conduct and work ethics in public service units.

At the inauguration, the Minister of Transport, Abdul Wahab Al-Durra, stressed the importance of working with the code of conduct by the employees of the Ministry and its affiliates, in a way that contributes to establishing standards, principles and rules of faith and moral behavior and promoting professional values.

He considered the Code of Conduct as a charter of honor that included a set of behavioral, ethical and professional values ​​and rules to improve institutional work in all fields, including the various transport sectors.

Minister Al-Durra indicated that the ministry and its Authorites and corprations are currently working on a detailed appendix that does not stray too far from the code of professional conduct, and it will be implemented after its approval by the civil service, as it includes the terms of reference that it provides to the citizen in the fields of land, sea and air transport.

And he indicated that the code of conduct represents an invocation of self-censorship while performing tasks in the public office and dealing with the public.

Minister of Transport called on all employees of the Ministry and its affiliated agencies to enhance work progress and adhere to the implementation of the Code on the ground.

For his part, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Civil Service for the Monitoring and Performance Evaluation Sector, Abdullah Haidar, touched on the contents of the code of professional conduct, indicating that it contains basic values ​​and principles in the performance of responsibilities, whether with regard to employees in public service units, or regulating the relationship between the president and his subordinates and between employees and their managers.

While the words of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport for the Air Transport Sector, Abdullah Al-Ansi, the Undersecretary of the Civil Aviation Authority, Raed Jabal, and the dirctore incharge of Yemen Airways, Khalil Jahaf, indicated the importance of launching work on the code to assess the level of job performance.

They emphasized the keenness of workers to make efforts to advance work in the various transport sectors in line with the requirements of the current stage.

Subsequently, copies of the Code were distributed to all employees and signed.

The inauguration was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Adel Al-Madani, Maritime Affairs and Ports, Khaled Al-Nimr, the Assistant Undersecretary for Land Transport, Abdulmalik Ali, the assistant undersecretaries of the Civil Aviation Authority, general managers and employees.
