Human Tsunami in Sana’a in Support of the Quran and Al-Aqsa, in Solidarity with Lebanon, and in Affirmation of Readiness

This afternoon, the capital city of Sana’a witnessed a massive human tsunami in a million-person march “In Support of the Quran and Al-Aqsa, in Solidarity with Lebanon, and in Affirmation of Readiness,” expressing anger and condemnation of the repeated insults against the Holy Quran and Islamic holy sites.
Huge crowds poured into Al-Sabeen Square from all directions, responding to the call of the leader of the revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, in anger over the insults against the Holy Quran, in support of Al-Aqsa and Palestine, in solidarity with Lebanon and its dear resistance fighters, and in affirmation of readiness for any developments or escalation.
A large replica of the Holy Quran was displayed amidst the millions gathered in Al-Sabeen Square, embodying the greatness and sanctity of God’s Holy Book, the deep connection of Yemenis to the Quran, their adherence to its teachings and righteous path, and their categorical rejection of any attempt to desecrate it.
The assembled crowds raised the flags of Yemen, Palestine, and Lebanon, chanting angry slogans condemning the repeated American and Zionist insults against the holiest of all holy sites on earth: the Holy Quran.
They strongly condemned the almost daily attacks and desecration of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque by the criminal Zionists, amidst the shameful and disgraceful silence and inaction of the Arab and Islamic world. They affirmed their refusal to remain silent in the face of these insults and the ongoing Zionist campaigns in all their forms.
The crowds renewed their complete and absolute mandate to the leader of the revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and reaffirmed the unwavering Quranic, moral, and humanitarian stance of the Yemeni people in support of Gaza and the Palestinian people, and their solidarity with Hezbollah in Lebanon. She affirmed her adherence to the Holy Quran and her commitment to the option of jihad in the cause of God, supporting the holy sites and issues of the Islamic nation, confronting the enemies of God, the Zionists, the Americans and their henchmen, and countering their satanic schemes that target Islam, Muslims and their holy sites.
The crowds chanted slogans of disavowal of the enemies of Islam and repeated chants such as: “Out of anger from the land of faith, we will not tolerate any attack on the Quran,” “Tell the two billion people: Rise up for the Quran,” “Burning the Quran is an act of aggression; the call to arms for the nation has come,” “Desecrating Al-Aqsa is an act of aggression; O nation, enough of this humiliation,” and “The Quran is the Book of God; the enemies of God will not escape.”
The masses also chanted: “The soldiers of the accursed Satan have desecrated my great Quran,” “O soldiers of God, defend the Book of God,” “If you remain silent while the Quran is being burned, examine your faith and investigate,” “The repeated desecration of Al-Aqsa is enough to mobilize the nation,” “The holy city of Islam calls upon you; what is happening there should concern you,” “The land of glory, Yemen, is ready to confront the villains,” “O Gaza, O Hezbollah, we are with you against the enemy of God,” “Jihad, Jihad; the entire nation is ready,” and “O Lebanon, O Palestine, all Yemenis are with you.” During the march, the Grand Mufti of Yemen, Shams al-Din Sharaf al-Din, affirmed that the Yemeni people’s demonstration was a victory and an expression of righteous anger for the Book of God and all Islamic sanctities, given their profound faith and love for God, His Messenger, and His Holy Book. This is the faith to which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) referred when he said, “Faith is Yemeni, understanding of the religion is Yemeni, and wisdom is Yemeni.”
He emphasized the significance of this massive demonstration on the first day of Dhul-Hijjah, the first of the ten days during which righteous deeds are more beloved to God than at any other time. He pointed out that this great demonstration is a form of jihad in the path of God.
Addressing the enemies of the nation, Grand Mufti Sharaf al-Din added, “We will never relinquish any of our sacred values, foremost among them the Book of God, which falsehood cannot approach from any direction, and the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), and all our values and sacred principles.” He affirmed that the Yemeni people’s demonstrations represent an expression of their anger and resentment towards the desecration of the Holy Quran. He emphasized that this shameful and criminal act will never go unpunished, until that tyrant learns that the Holy Quran is far too sacred to be insulted in any way, let alone burned or torn.
He continued, “Let all those who boast of freedom of opinion and expression know that freedom has limits, and that it is not permissible to infringe upon beliefs, religion, or sacred values, nor to insult others.”
In the statement issued by the march, the Grand Mufti of Yemen explained that the Yemeni people took to the streets today in jihad for the sake of God, seeking His pleasure, and in defense of the Holy Quran. They also reaffirmed their unwavering support for the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the oppressed Palestinian people, and their prisoners held captive in Israeli jails. Furthermore, they expressed solidarity with Lebanon and its esteemed resistance fighters, and affirmed their readiness to confront any developments or escalations by America and Israel in their targeting of the region and the Muslim world. The statement expressed condemnation, rejection, and denunciation of the repeated insults perpetrated by the enemies of God—the American Zionists—against the Holy Quran, and the almost daily desecration of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque by the criminal Zionists. It affirmed that the Yemeni people will not remain silent in the face of these renewed insults and the ongoing Zionist campaigns in all their forms.
The statement called upon Muslims worldwide, and the peoples of the Arab and Islamic nations, to fulfill their duty by taking serious and sincere action in the path of God Almighty, intensifying boycott campaigns, and organizing massive demonstrations in all cities and capitals with angry million-strong marches to confront the Zionist satanic scheme and the anti-Islamic Zionist movement, its hostile campaigns against our Islamic nation, its enmity towards Islam, the Quran, and the Messenger of God, the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), as well as its violations of the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
He addressed the people of the nation, saying, “The greatest danger lies in neglecting and being lenient in confronting the aggressive, satanic plans of the Jews and their allies, as this is one of the greatest things that emboldens the enemies against this nation, and exposes it to divine punishment.”
