Starting a workshop on identifying the needs of the one-stop-shop for the development of services in the ports of Hodeidah

Monday 5-29-2023 AD, a workshop began in the port of Hodeidah on identifying the needs of the single window to improve services and simplify procedures in the ports of Hodeidah and Saleef.

The workshop, which is organized over four days by the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation in coordination with the Ministry of Civil Service and the General Authority for Investment, aims to introduce 80 participants from the members of the teams assigned to implement the single window project in Hodeidah ports, with a number of procedures related to the implementation of the project and the necessary needs for its practical implementation in order to achieve Facilitate services for beneficiaries.

 

At the opening of the workshop, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Civil Service for the Monitoring and Performance Evaluation Sector – Chairman of the Services Development and Simplification of Procedures Committee for the single window project, Abdullah Haidar, reviewed the scheme of the mechanism of the single window system project for the sectors operating in the port, which includes the detailed procedures related to this regard.

He touched on the data that was counted and classified by the agencies operating in the corporation’s ports, each in his own jurisdiction, according to the guidelines issued by them, and presented the results to the leaders of the port community.

 

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Civil Service stressed the importance of everyone’s commitment to bring this project to reality in order to serve the commercial and navigational process and facilitate the work of customers and link them to one entity through a single electronic window to facilitate and simplify procedures.

He pointed out that the project will benefit the employees of the Ports Corporation and the agencies operating in it as well, through job descriptions and obtaining several benefits.

Pointing out that it comes as a culmination of the keenness on the success of the vision through which the revolutionary and political leadership seeks to provide services for receiving and unloading ships in accordance with the latest requirements of international navigational work.

The opening was attended by the Undersecretary of the General Authority for Investment, Abdul Rahman Al-Mahbashi, the Director of the Standards Authority Branch, Eng. Ibrahim Al-Dawla, the Director General of the Office of the President of the Corporation, Nabil Omar Al-Mazjaji, and the Director General of Human Resources at the Corporation, Ahmed Atta.
