Discussing joint plans between the Land Transport Authority and the Road Maintenance Fund
Today’s meeting in Sana’a, which included Chairman of the General Authority for Regulating Land Transport Affairs, Walid Al-Wadie, and the President of the Road Maintenance Fund, Eng. Nabil Al-Haifi, discussed joint plans and programs and the mechanism to activate them in the field.
The meeting reviewed the information and awareness plan on damages to excessive loads and their negative consequences on roads and vehicles.
The head of the General Authority for Regulating Land Transport Affairs praised the level of coordination between the authority and the fund for developing land transport.
He stressed the importance of activating the law of the pivotal balance in roads and ports due to its importance in preserving the road network and the safety of citizens, pointing out that Yemen has a main and secondary road network with a length of about 17 thousand kilometers, which is the most important factor for economic and social development.
The head of the Roads Maintenance Fund pointed out the importance of accomplishing joint work, especially on the side of roads and rehabilitation.
