A meeting chaired by the Minister of Transport discusses investment opportunities for the Red Sea ports.

A  meeting, headed by Minister of Transport Amer Al-Marani, discussed development plans and investment opportunities for the Yemeni Red Sea ports, according to what was included in the national vision.

The meeting, in the presence of the  deputy  for Maritime and Ports Affairs Khaled Al-Nimr, and the President of the General Corporation for Yemeni Sea Ports, Captain Muhammad Abu Bakr Ishaq, touched on the difficulties facing the Red Sea Ports Corporation as a result of the systematic destruction by the coalition of aggression.

The meeting focused on work priorities in accordance with the directives of the Chairman of the Supreme Political Council on the ownership and settlement of the lands and precincts of the Corporation’s ports in general and the lands and campuses of the Salif port in particular.

The meeting also touched on the possibility of exploiting the promising investment opportunities in the Yemeni Red Sea ports with national strategic projects that contribute to the development of economic resources and motivate the economy.

The Minister of Transport stressed the importance of preserving the sanctuary of the Yemeni Red Sea ports, most notably the sanctuary of the Salif port, as it is one of the strategic ports characterized by great depth and capable of receiving giant ships, in addition to its natural protection.

He pointed to the role of the importance of the national private sector and its partnership in promoting and developing the transport sectors in accordance with the laws, regulations and regulations that serve the public interest.

Minister Al-Marani called on businessmen, capital owners and investors to invest in strategic projects that contribute to the development and modernization of the land, sea and air transport sectors, stressing that investment in the transport sector is still promising.

For his part, the head of the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation explained that the Corporation is one of the most important economic pillars that the aggression has systematically destroyed since the beginning of the aggression. He reviewed the Corporation’s strategic plans and programs for investment during the current year.

He pointed out that the foundation’s plans are based on paths related to economic recovery and recovery that are included in the matrix of the national vision for building the modern Yemeni state in its various stages.

Ishaq reviewed the difficulties facing the Corporation, especially with regard to the lands and precincts of ports, and the Corporation’s field and humanitarian work as a result of the destruction of equipment, cranes and containers in the port of Hodeidah.
