A meeting chaired by the Minister of Transport discusses the precautionary measures to counter the Corona virus
A meeting in Sana’a today chaired by Minister of Transport Zakaria Al-Shami discussed plans and precautionary measures to confront the Corona virus at airports and land and sea ports.
The meeting, in the presence of the Undersecretaries of the Ministry of Air Transport Abdullah Abdullah Al-Ansi and Financial and Administrative Affairs Adel Al-Madani and Assistant Undersecretary for the Land Transport Sector Abdulmalik Sharaf Al-Din and Advisor to the Ministry Yahya Al-Wadii, reviewed the reports of the joint technical committee to prepare for confronting the Corona virus and the precautionary measures implemented to counter the virus.
The meeting, which brought together the heads of the Land Transport Regulatory Authorities, Walid Al-Wadii, Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Dr. Muhammad Abdul Rahman Abdul-Qadir and Acting Board of Directors of Yemeni Airlines Abdulmalik Muthar, touched on the measures that the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority, Land Transport Regulatory Authority and the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation and Yemeni Airlines will carry out. At the meeting, the Minister of Transport urged the bodies and institutions affiliated with the Ministry to complete the plans within three days for approval by the joint technical committee to prepare for confronting Corona … stressing the need to take ways to prevent the virus from entering Yemen.
He stressed the need to adhere to the measures that will be taken on everyone who arrives in Yemen through all ports and airports, stressing the need to provide the equipment for diagnosis, isolation, medical, nursing, technical and service personnel to deal with cases if they are discovered, as well as reporting on the tasks that will be implemented by the relevant authorities and their role in combating the virus Within the framework of its action plan.
The Shami Minister called upon the entities affiliated with the Ministry of Transport to implement the precautionary measures in a manner that contributes to reducing the health risks resulting from the spread of this virus … affirming keenness to implement the precautionary measures on the arrivals from outside Yemen through the air, sea and land ports.
