A meeting of the technical team to follow up the compensation of Yemeni merchants affected by the sinking of the ship

 

A coordinating meeting for transport and logistics companies and institutions was held in capital sana’a Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as part of the Chamber’s objectives to enhance the role of the private sector working in this field, and to highlight the sectors and economic activities of its members.

 

At the meeting, the Chamber’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, Hassan Al-Kbous, affirmed the keenness to form a Division of Transport and Logistics, through which the sector would be developed, organized, and launched towards sustainable activity and attracting investments.

 

He pointed to the importance of establishing the Division of Transport and Logistics, based on the role of this sector in the economic development of our country, and operating the land, sea and air transport activity and all related logistics.. He pointed out that this division would contribute to serving the private sector in this field. Highlighting the sectors and economic activities of its members.

 

Al-Kbous said: “The private sector is the operator of transportation activities of all kinds in our country, and the accompanying logistics, and it alone bears the responsibilities of transporting food, medicine and all the necessities of life for citizens under difficult circumstances, obstacles and high costs, as a result of the war and the economic blockade on Yemen.”
