In the press conference held at the berth of Al-Hodeida port, the Minister of Transport, Amer Ali Al-Marani, confirmed the readiness of Al-Hodeida and Salif ports to receive all oil and food vessels

” we launch the arrival of the diesel tanker, which is the first tanker carrying oil derivatives that was released under the announced truce, and it will be to operate power stations,” Al-Marani said.

He pointed out that this tanker will be followed by the entry of other oil ships loaded with “gasoline and diesel” in the event that it was released by the aggression and its intentions were true.

Pointing out that the majority of Yemenis view the armistice, which comes after seven years of aggression and siege, led by the coalition of aggression with great optimism and that it will lead to comprehensive peace during the coming period.

He praised the role of the media in attending and covering the arrival of the SPLENDOUR SAPPHIR tanker , which carries 24 thousand and 210 tons of diesel.

Meanwhile, the CEO of the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation, Captain Muhammad Abu Bakr Ishaq, stressed the importance of releasing the rest of the oil tankers announced according to the humanitarian truce and the speed of their arrival at the port of Hodeida.

He pointed out that the arrival of a special diesel tanker for electricity only is not sufficient in light of the great need for fuel and the human suffering experienced by the Yemeni people.

He pointed out that the ports of the Hodeida, Salif and Ras Issa are ready to receive all ships, and the delay in their arrival confirms that the ports of the Corporation are still under siege.

The captain added that an operations room was formed in coordination with the oil company to receive all oil ships, which are limited to about 9 tankers, whose arrival at the ports of Hodeida has been approved and removed from the oil company’s facilities in the port.

He explained that the corporation’s ports are in compliance with all requirements and standards of the International Code for the Security of Ports and Ships ” ISPS Code ” issued by the International Maritime Organization IMO of the United Nations, which has the right to receive all ships without any armistice, conditions or restrictions.

He expressed his hope that the truce would achieve the basic aspect on which it was based, and that all ships would be released without delay.

In turn, the Deputy Executive Director of the Yemeni Oil Company, Muhammad Hassan, explained to Al-Koumi that the cargo of the diesel ship arriving at the berth of Al-Hodeida port is currently being unloaded.

He pointed out that there are still two fuel ships that have not been released so far.

Stressing that the coalition of aggression is still pursuing the policy of distillation in the flow of oil tankers to the port of Hodeida, even as announced in the armistice.

He called for a complete lifting of the siege and work on the flow of ships and oil tankers and allowing them to enter the port of Hodeida to relieve the suffering of the Yemeni people and the service sectors.

The conference was attended by the directors of the Hodeidah Oil Company, Adnan Al-Jarmozi, the general directors of the planning departments in the corporation, Dr. Waddah Abdullah Majmal, the legal affairs of Mutahar Al-Amdi and the marine services, Captain Shawki Murshid.
