A speech event for the Red Sea Ports Corporation and the sectors operating in the port of Hodeida on the anniversary of Ashura

Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation, the Standards, Metrology, Quality Control, Maritime Affairs, and Hodeida Port Customs, organized this morning, Saturday 15-01-1444 AH, a rhetorical event commemorating Ashura, the day of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, for the year 1444 AH, under the slogan “No way for humiliation.”

In the event, in the presence of the Executive Vice President of the Corporation, Zaid Ahmed Al-Washli, the directors of the two standards bodies, Eng. Ibrahim Ahmed, State and Maritime Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Mushki, and the Deputy Director of Hodeida Port Customs, Mohammed Hammoud Abdul-Malik, the Director of the Information Department of the Corporation, Sadiq Farhan, indicated in a speech the sectors operating in the port that the Karbala incident, and the accident Ashura was not just a historical event, but it was a great, important, and tragic event for a great symbol of Islam, and it has great connotations, great causes, and extended effects on the reality of the nation.

He pointed out that the principles of Imam Hussein’s revolution in the face of tyranny are embodied today in the steadfastness  of Yemenis in the face of the coalition of aggression eight years ago.

He stressed that the Yemeni people stand today in pride and glory against tyrants and arrogance, deriving from the Hussein revolution the meanings of honor and dignity, and against the tyrants of arrogance and to continue in support of religion and truth.

He considered the commemoration of this anniversary an embodiment of the principles carried by the master of martyrs and the methodology of his revolution in which blood triumphed over the sword in the face of the forces of injustice and tyranny.

While the speech of the scholars delivered by Sheikh Mahmoud Balghith Darwish dealt with the personality of Imam Hussein and his position in the nation and the injustice he was subjected to in the catastrophe of Karbala.

He reviewed examples of lessons of leadership, sacrifice and redemption from the life of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him. He touched on the relationship between the perpetrators of crimes against Imam Hussein and the perpetrators of crimes against the Yemeni people.

He pointed out that the commemoration of Ashura reflects the status of Imam Hussein in the hearts of Yemenis and emphasizes the pursuit of his approach and vision in facing challenges.

The event included, in the presence of a number of general directors of public administrations and employees of the sectors operating in the port, two poems recited by Younis Abu Al Hayaa and Abdul Karim Al Sanani, and an operetta of the Martyr Al Sammad band.
