Al-Durra receives a copy of the comprehensive encyclopedia to study the mutual effects of Yemeni migration

 

The Caretaker Minister of Transport, Abdul-Wahab Yahya Al-Durrah, received today a copy of the comprehensive encyclopedia for the study of “The Mutual Effects of Yemeni Migration,” prepared by the Al-Khair Foundation for Global Development.

This came during his meeting today with member of the Shura Council and member of the Publicity Committee, Omar Maadikarb Al-Hamdani, and advisor to the Minister of Expatriate Affairs, Al-Azzi Al-Salawi, who handed him a copy of the encyclopedia.

Minister Al-Durrah heard from a member of the Shura Council an explanation of the efforts made to complete the comprehensive encyclopedia and the stages of its preparation, which lasted nearly two years with the participation of 62 researchers in preparing theoretical and field research, targeting Southeast Asia, East Africa, Europe, the United States of America, Canada, and the Gulf countries.

He explained that the expansion shed light on the phenomenon of Yemeni migration in contemporary history from its various aspects in a comprehensive and integrated manner, theoretically and field-wise.

The caretaker Minister of Transport praised the efforts made to bring the encyclopedia into existence, documenting the ancient history of immigration and the reality of immigrants at home.

He considered the encyclopedia a contemporary cultural link for the Yemeni immigrant in the diaspora countries and its impact on the national interior.

He stressed that the encyclopedia will help students and academic researchers in Yemeni universities, various media outlets, and other fields interested in the history of Yemeni immigration in general.
