Al-Hodeidah port:- Al-Washli inspects the progress of work in a number of service facilities

the Vice President of the Red Sea Ports Corporation, Zaid Ahmed Al-Washli, inspected the progress of work in a number of service facilities in the port of Hodeidah.

During his visit, he was briefed on the progress of work in the ground handling equipment maintenance hangar of the General Administration of Pavements and Yards.
And I listened, from the General Director of docks and yards, Mr. Khaled Hamid and Technical Affairs Eng. Fahd Al-Jaboubi, to a detailed explanation of the readiness of ground handling mechanisms and winches, and the future maintenance plan for those equipment and mechanisms to maintain their readiness to keep pace with the Corporation’s work in receiving ships loaded with various goods.

Al-Washli praised the efforts of the engineers and technicians in the maintenance hangar, urging them to redouble their efforts and work to raise the readiness of these equipment and machinery in case of the influx of ships.

He was also briefed on the movement of commercial activity in a number of the port’s berths, and heard from the Director General of Projects and Engineering Supervision, Eng. Sami Maqbouly, about the design capabilities of the berths, the amount of cargo allowed to be unloaded from ships to the berths, and the loads of the trolleys carrying goods out of the port.

He stressed the need to strictly adhere to the axial weight to maintain the safety of sidewalks and roads when transporting goods.

Al-Washli was inspecting the fountains on the sidewalks leading to the sea.

The Vice President of the Corporation pointed out the importance that the port of Hodeidah has become for the Yemeni people and the importance of preserving its operational equipment and mechanisms, especially in light of the current conditions that the country is going through as a result of the continuation of the aggression and siege for eight years.

He was accompanied during the visit by the director of his office, Ahmed Hatem, the Deputy Director General of Pavements and Squares, Jaber Kulaib, and the Deputy Director General of Technical Affairs, Abdel Wahed Al Saafani.
