CAMA spokesman: US-Saudi blockade on Yemen is unforgivable crime

Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority (CAMA) spokesman Mazen  Ghanem confirmed the blockade imposed by the US-Saudi aggression on Yemen and the closure of Sana’a International Airport is an unforgivable crime.

In a statement, Ghanem indicated the closure of Sana’a airport causes the death of thousands of patients, and hundreds of thousands of patients await the same fate if they are unable to travel abroad for treatment.

“The closure of Sana’a International Airport prevented millions of Yemenis from traveling and returning to the homeland and turned Yemen into a large prison,” he said.

He said the closure of Sana’a International Airport violates all international laws and agreements foremost of which is the Chicago Agreement.

The authority’s spokesman reiterated the Security Council’s demand to neutralize Sana’a airport and to issue an immediate international resolution binding on opening the airport.
